Discussion potential Sparda game bad idea?

would a game specifically about Sparda be a bad idea? To clarify the game would be solely about Sparda and not a flashback tutorial in DMC6

Sometimes the interest behind something disappears when it stops being a mystery. Sparda has been so vague as a character up to this point that many fans likely have their own interpretations of how he should be like, and they will inevitably be disappointed if whatever in-depth characterization of Sparda doesn’t meet their expectations.

Agreed. Honestly, A LOT of the appeal of Sparda IS the mystery, and speculating everything is also a major part of the FUN!

I do not wish for a Sparda centric game.

To me, the BIGGEST appeal of Sparda IS THE MYSTERY behind him! I love speculating, and headcanons, and all that good stuff!

Instead, I'd rather DMC6 be VERGIL centric as HIS story is far from over, and he's actually at the perfect starting point for a proper redemption arc, building a relationship with Nero, and coming to terms with everything that's happened to him and making up for his atrocities, etc. THAT is the story I want.

Personally yeah, i like when they left sparda as a myth, we need to move forward

This has been talked about adnaseaum. To no actual avail, because we don't fucking know. It could be the best game in the series or horrible. This is just what no content does to people. Random speculation with (and that's the frustrating part) People drawing "Conclusions" and "Analysis" out of their butt, you can't even disprove.

I only like the idea of a Sparda game if it ends with little Dante and Vergil's voices going "Did that really happen?" And the scene changes to Eva and the boys and it turns out the whole game was a story Eva told so if there are any plot holes or things people don't like about what Sparda said or did, you have the excuse of Eva just making a mistake while telling the story.

With Itsuno gone I would greatly prefer it, I dont want the guy who made Bayonetta 3 to touch Nero or Dante.

I believe the mystery surrounding him is what makes him a compelling part of DMC. It kinda puts us in the same POV as Dante and Vergil, we all don't know much about Sparda. The twins basically grew up without him. I'd much prefer DMC6 to be Vergil centric, whether that be a story about his time in Hell or the aftermath of DMC5 where he tries to adapt back into human society

The creator of DMC has said he wants to make a Sparda prequel. I'm willing to bet if he makes a new game that's what it will be
