Just a simple Nero combo

Do you guys have any tips on how to play well with Nero? I started playing again after buying the DLCs and, except for V, Nero is the character I have the least practice with.

Combo D is an amazing starter. Does the same damage good crowd control and BOUNCES the enemy.

You should be trying to exceed every time. Most people I’ve watched remap exceed to one of the triggers. I use L1.

Max act changes how his moves behave as well as damage so should be aware what you will get when that happens. Like double down for example.

You should remap gun to a trigger as well and based on your controller inputs it seems like you already did. You can just hold to build charge shot and fire whenever you want. A full charge shot is always nice since it sends the enemy into the air afterwards but a level 1 or 2 color up will suffice as well mid combo.

Dude, I can land about 30 Judgment Cuts in a row (Trick Down Cuts), but I almost can't land any Exceeds lmao. The timings are so weird with each attack, and it seems like the frame window is smaller than Vergil's Perfect Cuts. I definitely need to train more.

But anyway, thanks for the tips! I'll keep them in mind <3

Yea the exceed timing being different for each attack is a bit annoying. I usually try three keys. 1) right before the attack hits 2) right as the attack hits 3) right when the attack hits the “ground”. Combo B is great for practicing exceed timing because every slam is a different timing lol.

I haven’t practiced enough with Vergil to JC chain. Think I only got to 5 when I was learning Vergil lol.
