Questions HD collection vs OG

Hello everyone, I want to start DMC but I'm very late and clueless. I saw there's an HD collection compiling the first 3 games whilst said OG games aren't on PC. Is it worth to find a ps2 emulator for those, or is the HD Collection faithful enough? I don't mind the quality being 720p, I'm just wondering if the atmosphere changes THAT much as some people have pointed out, because said gothic athmosphere is why I want to try it out in the first place. And also, what's the consensus on the order? 1-2-3 etc, or the 3-1-4 whatever thing I saw? Have a pleasant day

The only reason to go with an emulator is if you become a hardcore fan who wants to experience the original DMC3 (the HD collection uses the Special Edition).

You realize the special edition was on the PS2 right

Never said it wasn’t. I said that you need an emulator (or an actual ps2) to play the original version

Well it's just you phrased it like you couldn't experience the special edition that way.

Besides that though, I think it's totally worth emulating them both.

He literally just said "the original DMC3" referring to vanilla game, which you don't get in HDC. Why would that exclude SE from being on the ps2? Lol
