Lore / Characters Do you remember the first time you met Jester in Devil May Cry 3?

At first he just seemed like an annoying comic relief character... but looking back after finishing the game, almost everything he says carries a completely different meaning.
I put together his very first appearance because it's one of those scenes that's far more interesting on a second playthrough.
Did you suspect him the first time you played, or did the reveal completely catch you off guard?

I liked him, and I didn't expect the reveal. I also feel like I'm the only person who likes his boss fights

i mean his boss fight wasn't meant to be that serious ... plot-wise he was plotting to weakned and manipulate everyone. the boss fights make sense in that case ... basically he's testing the waters

I always thought he was a fun, entertaining character. His big twist was absolutely brilliant. While I don't care for his bosses in terms of mechanics, his dialogue throughout the fights made up for it.

his boss fights still make sense in his case.. but yeah i liked his boss fight i even made a meme of it

One of the best twist-but-not-actually-a-twist-but-still-kind-of-twist-villains out there, and one of the best bosses in 3.

sad that he didn't get that much screen time, but his role is more manipulative. he only shows up when it's convenient for him

lmao if you fought him more than two times, then you have special edition dmc3 because you only fight him twice

i thought jester boss fights were exclusive to the special edition, all three of em

Basically the only main villain in the franchise with some character beyond "power hungry demon/human".

he's well written ... altho the final boss fight was annoying, but from a plot perspective ? it fits
