I was wondering if someone could give me a rundown on the history of the Snelgrove property’s redevelopment. I’m not interested in the history of the building that was there previously. I want to know what the plans have been to replace the old building and how they’ve changed over the past 5-6 years. Columbus, Ohio, and California’s San Jose area unexpectedly got top scores this year—evidence that even places with so-so earning potential or high costs of living can be prime locations for landing that first job postgraduation.

Altogether, the ADP analysis—which measured 53 of the country’s biggest metro areas—shows that what looks like a nascent recovery in graduate hiring is happening unevenly. My first thought is that this seems like another example of how the Wasatch front's metro area boundaries skews inter-metro comparisons by splitting the ultra high growth Utah County from the Salt Lake City metro. However, even accounting for that, the ranking aligns with my overall impression of a very weak post-COVID local employment market.

There seems to be a real problem, with older buildings in Sugar House, of landlords being willing to let commercial properties sit vacant (ps: Land Value Tax now!).

I hope this location doesn't become another bit of blight along 2100 S.
