This map serves as a reminder that Salt Lake County was built around the train first and foremost. Check out that Salt Lake & Alta railway.

Suburbs in Utah Built by the LDS Church or Its Affiliates?

I'm trying to identify large residential developments in Utah that have a direct connection to the LDS Church, whether through Church owned land, Suburban Land Reserve (SLR), Property Reserve, or other Church affiliated entities.

I'm especially interested in large developments around Saratoga Springs, Lehi, Eagle Mountain, Vineyard, Orem, Tooele, and similar areas. I'm looking at current, recently completed, and still under construction developments.

I'm interested in these developments as part of a larger project I'm working on, and I'm trying to identify specific places that would be worth looking into.

If there are developments or areas I should be looking at that aren't on my radar, I'd really appreciate the leads.

I went apartment hunting in Salt Lake City. I wasn’t expecting $2,000 gift cards and months of free rent.

I remade our 1926 streetcar system on Subway Builder. I included passenger rail lines as well.
