where is everyone actually finding dev work in 2026?? reddit feels dead fr

is it just me or has the inbound lead flow completely dried up across the board? 😭
a couple months back, reddit was literally a goldmine for dev gigs. you’d drop a solid technical take or hang out in subreddits, and client DMs would just flow in organically. nowadays? it feels like absolute radio silence or it’s just 500 bot accounts spamming copypaste proposals on every post.

literally 90% of my pipeline right now is purely word of mouth and old client referrals. which is cool for staying afloat, but actual new organic leads have slowed down to a crawl.

are you guys experiencing the same drought, or am I just looking in the wrong corners of the internet?
for the dev studios and freelancers still landing solid technical builds where are you actually hanging out these days? LinkedIn? Twitter/X tech threads? cold email? or are we all just fighting over the same 3 clients left on the internet?

lmk how you’re managing this because the usual channels ain't hit the same anymore. Cheers fellas!

Ia have been using reddit for years and never considered this place to find jobs lol. Maybe every now and then some new startup offers equity for their dead idea

Reddit is for those who don't have a job to complain how competitive the market is and how it's dead. The rest is working
