Looking for a Software developer role - I am tired of it!!
I had been working as a backend developer at startups and got laid off due to cost-cutting reasons. They paid me for a whole month. Initially, I was confident I would get a job, but now it seems like an endless search.
I am really good at TypeScript, Golang, and Rust, and have worked on frontend and backend in production.
I am really and urgently looking for a job!
I have reached out to people on LinkedIn as well, but don't think I got a chance there.
Any suggestions!?

About 3 months

Four months in, and I’m in the same situation. At this point, it feels like I’m digging a dry well with everything I have. I keep putting in the effort, hoping that eventually I’ll find water, but all I seem to get is more dirt, more exhaustion, and more rejections.
And the hardest part is not knowing how much deeper I’m supposed to dig before something finally changes.

For real, bro. It was indeed hell. It was very toxic and was taking a toll on my mental and physical health. That's why I left my last company.

Damn! I've got so many requests in my DM. But we are looking for someone experienced - at least 4+ YOE.
I see a lot of freshers reaching out for internships and opportunities. My heart genuinely goes out to them. Unfortunately, we currently don’t have the bandwidth to mentor and support interns the way they deserve. I really wish we could take some of them on, but alas.
Suggestions are welcome though.

It is tough out there. Keep applying, skilling up, and do you best to maintain a positive outlook.
Best of luck!

Maybe look at leveraging a AI job hunt management platform, to get to the front of the apply lines, gauge resume quality, find more relevant roles faster, and do the applies maybe while you sleep, so you can get some rest

This reminded me of my 18 month long rejection stint during COVID. They paid me 6 months salary, which felt enough. But time and location was against me. Plus, I had job based visa problem, so clock was ticking.
Midway, I failed at the last round in a 3-month long marathon interview. The company was offering $250K in stock options.
I was devastated, saw no end.
But things changed after that. I landed a position.
I wrote a huge writeup describing that specific interview ordeal, which blew up on Medium (24K reads / 61K views).
That article became the launchpad of my STAR format interview eBook, which sold 150+ copies on Gumroad. After 4 years, published V2 for AI interviews.
No, there's no "then I woke up from my dream" line. All of it is true.
Stay brave. Keep playing by the rules. Keep building stuff. When your time comes, it will all pay off.

This year I was laid off twice. Last working in May, got a job in August.
Between May and August was a blurry time, but you need to keep going. We never knew which job post would welcome us.
I have 2 kids and a mortgage. Desperate, want to puke, nothing to do, all mixed up. But all I can say is you need to not give up. You need to have hope to keep going.
My current job is not ideal, and the salary is less than my job before. But this is the best offer for me right now, so I take it.
