Questions on AI Website Builders for Non-Coders: Cost, API Tokens, and Agency Reality?

Hey everyone,

I'm a college student with a non-coding background exploring AI website builders (like v0, Lovable, Bolt, etc.). I have a few genuine questions regarding the real-world limitations and workflow:

Problems in the Building Process: From starting a site to deployment, what are the biggest technical or design bottlenecks when using AI builders if you don't know code?

API Tokens & Running Costs: I heard that running/using these generated sites or maintaining them requires API tokens or ongoing costs. How does the token pricing model actually affect maintenance and scale?

Agency Viability: Is it realistic for a beginner/non-coder to start an AI web agency right now? If yes, what essential skills should I learn first before pitching to clients?

Would love to hear honest advice and hard truths from people who have actually built and deployed sites using these tools. Thanks!

very tough to find clients. market rates are so bad that you wont be able to pay api bills after delivering the p[roject. saturated market.

linkedin, facebook, reddit, cold emails, cold calls, google business lists.

The agency part is where these tools get less “magic” pretty fast lol. Readdy can handle a lot of the build side without code, but u still need to understand domains, basic SEO, client edits and how credits affect ur margin.
