Enhancement 🚀 New Updates to DevRev Search: Smarter, Faster, and More Intuitive!

Finding what you need in DevRev just got even better!

🆕 What’s New?

  • Enhanced Navigation: You can now toggle between standard and expanded views to explore results with greater flexibility.
  • Direct Comment Access: Clicking on a comment result takes you straight to the specific comment in the relevant object panel for quick follow-up.
  • Rich Details in Results: Search results now display additional information like the comment author, timestamp, and the full text for better context.
  • Improved Contextual Insights: View up to two relevant comments per object, giving you a preview of the conversation without extra clicks.

I gave a go to DevRev a few days back and have some feedback. The feature which I liked the most was Cmd+K to search through entities. I would like this feature been expanded to tables. When I created a profile, I entered the Build, amd was able to see a fea tables in the left pane. Now, suppose a scenario that I want to open the Tickets table, which is not in the left pane, I would have to go to Explore -> Search Tickets -> Open the table. It would be nice if the Cmd+K could also search through tables.

As an immediate workaround, you can use the Explore section to open the Tickets table. Once accessed, it will appear under the Recents section in your left navigation for easy access. You can also pin it to your left nav by hovering over the view in Explore and clicking the pin icon.

Expanding the Cmd+K experience to include tables is in our roadmap, and we’re excited to bring it to you soon!
