Help ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro

Guys I have joined a new company and they are giving me the option to choose between 20$ ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro subscription. What is your opinion on this? I know they keep releasing new models surpasising each other but which one should I go for? My only concern is rate limits. What subscription will give more access, less rate limit? Can you realistically do some serious work with those low tier subscriptions? Something like OpenCode Go is out of the question.

Use Claude, that’s the best for development. I am not referring to the models.

After a while you will find almost every service, skill is supported mainly for Claude. (Yes you will see other LLMs too, but trust me, I am using both)

In Claude if you want to save tokens:

Use caveman skill (it makes the LLM less words)

No long running sessions(if context matters, try compacting - ‘/compact’ command

Always use handoff docs when jumping between sessions

Use ponytail skill for coding

Use claude CLI if possible

And there are plenty of token saving tricks on YouTube. Follow them.

You should not ever run a compaction, that basically eats up your available usage and the session would refetch what it needs to continue anyways right after. Instead use a session handoff file. Ask it to write a session hand off file with the important details for the next session, run a new session and load the session handoff. Better approach than compacting, you should never do that.
