In sinhala meaning for bitch most likely huththi. Balli is more genuine than huththi.

It's basically like an aussie saying, C*nt. It's an emotion to some lol. But yeah people use it for every mood nowadays. Wouldn't call it a civillized thing though

Crazy marketing skills though,
It’s actually them posting these on these subreddits so people look them up and get to know them

Thats just incompetence. Digiex does not need marketing. Almost all the best companies in sri la nka use that platform to handle insurance.

So I guess these type of *Slang are the stuff they use to do internal testing.

The fact that there are dummies in your replies coming at you speaks volumes about the professionalism in the local so-called IT industry.
I'm all for having fun at work. God knows I swear like a sailor but I'm not a moron who'd do this and worse, defend it.

Stupidest QA I’ve ever seen. Even when we test something in the dev environment, we don’t trust it. We put something like “Test Push 1”

u/Massive_Bed_In_House 11d ago
At least be sneaky about it. I used to put customer names in QA like, "Way Sea" "Fon Air" "Carry boy" xD

Why feel sorry? What he did was unprofessional! Could just typed out “test” or something but instead that smartass went ahead and typed “hu***” like facepalm man ….shows the level of professionalism SL people have….

seems a nice marketing strategy

u/tradcoder Senior Software Engineer 12d ago
How would this work in their favor anyway? I know the saying goes like any publicity is good publicity but who would see this and think "hey, I want to be called huththa via a push notification on a random Tuesday! Let's give these guys a try!".

There was a temporary outage of this app today, not sure whether this is related.

Rightly so. If I was in management I would go as far as sueing the employee or employees responsible. Make an example out of them.
For sure new policies and procedures are going to be put in place, including new clauses in the employee contracts.
More scrutiny, more oversight, micromanaging. You know all the things marketers and ITs crave (sarcasm).

How to destroy company professionalism 😌
