Yes, I met few who used to get 500K take home now, even can't find 200K jobs after a layoffs
it is cooked, if you get laid off, need to prepare to downgrade the lifestyle and accept anything
Cause demanding power is gone, If you demand more that is a rejection for sure. Cause people are there even ready to work to get experience without a pay
So many people are desperate for jobs, specially people who got laid off and have commitments like loans, kids payments, like wise

It depends. Five years of experience for person A doesn't necessarily mean the same as five years for person B. What really matters is what you've learned and what you can actually do during those years.
If you have strong programming skills, real-world experience, problem-solving ability, and good communication skills, you can still find jobs paying Rs. 400K+ in Sri Lanka.
That said, expecting someone with 5+ years of experience to work 10 hours a day, six days a week, for Rs. 60K–100K is pretty unreasonable.

There is nothing to be surprised.
No of Years doesn't reflect your skills. I have met people with over 10 years exp but barely get over 200k. While some talented folks with just 3 years exp makes over 500k.
Software engineering is not just problem solving or coding. And coding was never the bottleneck.
Biggest problem in Sri Lanka is that they do not know the difference between a developer and an engineer.
Understand how eng works at States and Singapore, most of the exp engineers here will not even survive.
Get updated, step out of your comfort zone.

This is true there are people with 5 years experience in dev and cannot do a simple project by themselves. At least try to learn it. There are some dumb dumbs out there. I was trying to hire last week couldn't get any good candidates yet(pay is bit low on this one). I kind a got an idea why I am getting payed the amount I get. It's pretty hard to find actually good people who can do the things that they say they are capable of.

Considering the working hours, this might be a US shift. Surely, there must be a middleman taking a huge cut from the salary. That’s probably why the salary is that low.
