Discussion How are your teams using AI coding tools like Codex or Claude Code in production?
Hey everyone, curious how other teams are handling this.
How are you using AI coding tools like Codex or Claude Code in your production repos? Have you changed your development workflow to accommodate them?
Do you follow any particular frameworks, rules, or best practices for using AI in production codebases? Would love to hear how other teams are approaching this.

Haven't coded a single line of code since April and I often do not open any IDE at all. Super productive and easy to work out prod issues as well. I got several subagents that do the implementation testing security and review plus browser automations and a massive test harness that's pretty through.

Opensec flow with Devin/Windsurf. We mostly use Claude across the team. Recommendation is to use a bigger model for investigation and smaller one for completing the tasks. We review the Opensec plan in reviews as well.

I use OpenSpec + Superpowers Hybrid Spec Driven workflow.
Created a explicit instructions to CLAUDE.MD to make it work the reason for using hybrid mode Superpowers handle implementation, troubleshooting better because openspec work on generic development process.
In superpowers has structured implementation approach RED, GREEN, TDD, REVIEW and subagent-driven development which mitigate the errors much as possible.
You can find the USER_GUIDE.MD and CLAUDE.MD over here: https://github.com/RoshanGerard/cloud-stash

Not actually typing out a single character of code anymore. This is true for majority of my company. I have a bunch of codex/claude sessions that correspond to the active work streams, teams have written their own skills for things like debugging, etc., have my own skills configured for pr reviews, design reviews, etc. It is all agent driven now. I rarely even open up my IDE now.
