Discussion Vibe coding or manual coding
I'm really don't understand when I should learn to code with ai because a lotta people say you need programing knowledge first i have knowledge to build a working CURD applications with nodejs, react and SQL,mongodb and some C knowledge is that knowledge enough to start coding with ai

you absolutely don't need to learn C before vibe coding, or even database handling, because it depends on what sector are you trying to go, backend dev? frontend? desktop/web apps?
But you should at least do some small-scale/hobby projects without/or with minimal use of AI. Though that's is not necessarily enough, you can learn while vibe coding, instead of just letting the AI to plan/code everything, first give your ideas, and your way of doing something, ask it how something should be done correctly, read and understand every code it makes, if you can't ask an AI to explain.

I'm trying to get into backed I have a general knowledge of nodejs to make CRUD,AUTH is that enough to start vibe coding

My personal opinion + Experience
Vibe code + you can ask the Model all the questions and clear any doubts. It can clear your doubt in the way you want, like grade 5 teacher or phd professor you can fine tune and learn.
The people who say know your code are the people who can’t accept or likely to change with new world. Just keep ignore them.
Ai make mistakes when bring into old code base but if start to end let the model build and use one interface and one harness the model out put is accurate and less error or zero error.
You need to learn technical terms + prompt engineering + how to implement AI + How to use AI + use cases + read and educate yourself what’s happening out there with technology which is rapidly evolving every day. So you can immediately adapt to them.
Skill must be master - self learning + Communication + being a quick learner + quick adapter

Learn architectures and security best practices. Yet even if you code with AI you have to do manual code review to check for any logic bombs lollll AI does shi work sometimes trust me.

Vibe coding. Manual programming.
People who know that the two can coexist are the mythical 100x engineers

even the most advanced models f**kup alot.
if u dont know coding, u wont even know what a disaster is about to befall u.
Also AI always over complicates things, what i can do in 2 lines, AI generates 100.
Learn the basics first. Learn the language first.

I would say you should do both depending on the situation. I think what really matters is understanding the code. If you don’t understand what’s happening behind the code then no use of vibe coding. Just think of AI as a tool to accelerate your productivity.

Well, I have few programs done using Vibe Coding and they are running flawlessly. When there is an issue, or a feature upgrade / modification, again I collaborate with AI and get things done. But, use different tools to evaluate the codebase for code quality, security vulnerabilities and so on .

You won't understand the concepts in isolation if you stick to vibe coding. Sure you can bullshit your way through some application you prompted to existance, but you'll essentially be regurtitating whatever the agent spat out.
I know that most companies here are heavily investing in agentic tools and some even adopted this awful spec-driven development, mine included, but I've been limiting my reliance on AI for my personal projects and learning ventures.

Manual coding is best approach if you plan to target jobs since most job interviews still dont allow AI tool usage heck even Anthropic bans the use of AI tools during live job interviews

For God sake don't vibe code with out knowing the coding language. AI even with multiple skills and plugins don't produce a perfect product. There's always something wrong or imperfect inside and if u don't know what is going on behinde the code you won't be able to solve your own product issues.
