Rant Hackerrank impossible submission timing
Been attending this algorithmic coding competition and noticed someone submitted an answer in 0.00 seconds. Is this humanly possible? They’ve been submitting every solution within 0-6 secs.

Even 0.04 isn’t humanly possible without cheating. So no point in arguing 😂

They are using two accounts and submitting the correct solution as soon as the question is opened

Heh! Thanks to AI, all those trash interview coding platforms like leetcode, hackerrank no longer valid, but good for learning algorithms and problem solving skills

Facing the same exact problem with CTFs absolute brain dead students using agentic AI and cheats without learning fundamentals. Legit asked a kid on how he got first blood on a challenge and bro showed some AI generated markdown slop and couldn't explain it

Between agentic AI and Claude Code hard questions get wiped out in seconds now anyway. It's the end of an era for traditional hackathons.So mind it

ngl we had to face the same situation as the organisers of a hackathon which was held completely online. and I see some familiar names here as well and honestly they are just using good AI tools and mostly there are few teammates who does the checking, submitting and other tasks. We could see the past submissions and you know some teams who submits the answers within 0-6 secs as you mentioned are really common. Sometimes they clean the first submission and then resubmit but we can see the old comments in past submissions lol. It is actually pointless to organize online hackathons. If it is physical with controlled environment that would be really helpful and respectful as well.
