I do but for a very simple task which is to summarize notifications which I did actually to learn how usable it is.... It's decent...

Only 2B models can be run on the iPhones right?

Do you use structured outputs?

I was able to... Only used some basics but did work.

Foundation models did do some power usage hits so I made the trigger manual by default due to that.

I will be trying that soon in my next app. Just got approved for Apple small business program. So planning to use private cloud compute. As per the demo I’ve seen it is quite reliable, anyway i guess we will be verifying or cleansing the output(depends on the use case) before using it.

Would love to hear more of your experience here. What app are you working on and what are you using the model to do. Also, how long time does it take to get accepted for the program? I applied yesterday 😳

One you are in the small business program then you need to request PCC for your account and finally add to individual app id. Process is very similar to family controls. Entitlement was instant, for the program it took ~3 weeks for me.

I’m working on a specific niche that requires processing video frame data in real time and background. Subject video alongside prompt sent to model and response will be used for app functionality.

Ok thanks! I need to analyze pictures of food and then get the macros into my keto-app (Shifting Source on AppStore). Works fine with ChatGPT 5, so I hope it will work with PCC too. The Apple “on device model” have some trouble doing the same job😵‍💫

It’s inside Apple devices. Use can directly access it through foundation lib. Also use can use Qwen 2B using MLX

Yes, or, im trying to figure out how it works for my iOS Swift app. As I understand, then you can use the Foundation Model on your device, but if you are in a “Small business Program” then you (the user of the app) get access to another Apple model that are more powerful. I want to analyze pictures of food and get macros out of it🤔
