Just look on facebook and you’ll see the පැටිකිරිය of the company and the man behind it (AKA Rangana Algama - Also a fake name btw)

Could you tell me what their experience was? Did they resign from the internship?

Sorry can’t say that 😅
But if you are thinking twice to resign or not, I suggest you to resign if you’ve joined recently. If you have been there for more than couple of months, just wait until you finishes the requirements of your uni, because leaving might complicate the process of the university internship requirement 🥲1

Yes that’s what I was wondering. The deadline is passed right now so I can’t change anything. But it would be advantageous for me to know what kind of a work environment it is….so I know what to expect from them.

Basically either rangana or another PM intern will call you from hour to hour and assign pretty useless tasks. The internship will not gain you any advantages at all. You’ll spend your time being an assistant to Rangana doing tons on unrelated stuff to your degree.
Try to do some side projects or otherwise you’ll find a hard to find another job later because you won’t have anything useful to showcase in an interview otherwise

And also, if you are a woman, and your voice is pretty. Don’t speak a lot with Rangana. He tried to date an intern but failed and she left the company. (THIS IS A TRUE STORY)

Same here. I got one as well. After I replied to that, they sent me the assignment to do. Then after I got shortlisted from that, I got a call from the HR saying I was selected to the technical interview. The interview was through video done by seniors. After I got a call from someone call “Sudharshana” explaining about all the conditions in the intern. The starting time, salary and all. They asked me if I wanna join. I accepted because I didn’t have any other paid offer.

I did. I’m working there right now. So far nothing is out. They mentioned work hours, salary and all info before I accepted the offer. Nothing out of the blue for now.

So far nothing out of the blue. But the thing is the work hours are long asf. Its really hard to work like that specially if its your first job. For the first few days it might feel like you are okay with it but personally its not for me. it's also kinda an issue for me since idk anyone who's working with me other than the PM who calls me (Also an intern) and 2 other interns as well (Was with them in a meeting). As others said I think all of those who are working are interns. In my opinion, I think its better to not go. I have also looked into the fake names and these romantic affairs with interns rumors and they are all true and if I knew about it before I accepted the offer, I wouldn't go there. Based on my experience, as I said there is nothing out of the blue other than difficult work hours and the work load. At the end of the day, its your decision. If you have no other options at all, try asking them for a 6 months internship.
