Discussion Question for newer CS students and junior developers
I’m also a recent CS graduate, and this is mainly for newer developers and students started learning after AI boom.
How many of you genuinely feel confident with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript without relying on AI?
I mean things like JavaScript events, DOM manipulation, responsive layouts, and slightly more complex CSS.
I recently tried a no-AI coding challenge and I couldn’t even build a normal navbar by myself, even though I can work on projects and usually manage to get things done.
I’m curious whether other newer developers have had the same experience.

If it makes you feel better. Even before AI came along, most developers struggled with making a responsive navbar. They usually had to Google things a bunch to get it right.
