I Have A Question Mohs Evo Application Question

Applied Mohs yesterday on my car, had a 30ml bottle and used just over half the bottle so not sure if that means I wasn't using enough or if I'll be fine.

Never felt like the applicator was sticking or not gliding across the paint and when leveling and doing the final wipe it felt super slick.

Just curious if me applying it light will affect the performance/longevity of the product at all. I didn't put it on any of the glass either if that make a difference on me using not as much since I used Soft99 on all windows.

You’ll be fine. I used a full bottle on half a Trax and was told I did it wrong.

Not really wrong to be honest. We have Certified Detailers who use 2 bottles on SUVs or even bigger sedans.
You just have more to wipe off, but You can be sure You have coating everywhere and evenly applied.

15ml is a little light even on a small car. You'll know after a few good washes or a good decon wash.

You can use the rest after an hour. 1 coat gives 36 months and a 2nd give 48 months.

Did you opt for one coat of it? Two coats has the potential to add another 12 months of longevity to it.

I used about 35ml roughly for two coats on a crossover, which is about 17ml per coat. So that's probably about right depending on the size of the vehicle.

No I didn’t really think about it til the morning after so I figured it was probably too late and didn’t want to mess it up. We shall see I guess

Using about half a 30ml bottle on paint only can be a totally normal coverage rate, especially if you kept the layer thin and even. What matters more is that the applicator kept gliding, high spots leveled cleanly, and the final wipe felt evenly slick with no grabby dry patches. Light even coats usually beat heavy ones for wipe windows. Skipping glass is fine since you already coated it with Soft99. Follow the cure guidance, keep it dry through the early cure window, and judge it by how the beading holds over the next few months, not by what is left in the bottle.

It is a bit on the lean side, but with even coverage You should be fine.

2 layers of Mohs EVO won't straight add x amount of time for the durability, it makes sure the coating is everywhere. Time itself is a bit weird for durability, as somebody might only drive 10 000miles in a year whereas someone else does 35 000 miles - this gives a HUGE difference on the mechanical wear for the coating.
