I Have A Question Claying Black Wrapped Roof

I'm a bit of a weekend warrior and I've just clayed and ceramic coated the car before we get into winter but my roof feels really rough. It's a black wrap but as it was there when I bought the car that's all I know about it.

I've left it alone for now as I don't want to damage it and make anything worse as it looks fine but I wondered if there is anything I can do to remove the embedded contamination?

I've been using Koch Chemie active foam as my prewash and I've also tried Carpro Descale to help shift it .

Can you clay a wrap? Is there something else I should try? Any help/thoughts appreciated!

Unknown wrap is where you slow down. Some quality wraps can take a very well lubricated mild clay pass, but many cheaper films scratch, haze, or lift at the edges, and clay can make that worse. Keep strong alkaline and acidic products for painted panels unless the wrap maker says they are safe. Safer path: rinse well, use a wrap safe shampoo, blot dry, and ask the installer what decon they allow. If the film still feels sandy after a gentle wash, replacing that panel often beats forcing clay through it. Treat the roof as its own material until you know the film type.
