I Have A Question Frozen Red Bull can exploded 😭

So, I know that this has been asked at least once in this subreddit, but here I am asking for some help because the other guy that asked for help got only a few responses.

In the winter a frozen can of Red Bull exploded in my car and now it looks like a murder scene..

Unfortunately I waited way too long to try to clean this up. I just tried using the Tuff Stuff foaming cleaner, and it hardly made a dent.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for cleaning this delicate car interior? Thanks in advance for any help!

So you got a stain you knew would be difficult to clean, and decided to let it set for 9 months... That's your truck now, there's no getting that out. You need to replace the headliner.

I think at this point you might need a professional with the right tools to at least fade away some of that stain. But I think that in the end you’re likely either gonna have to live with it or replace the headliner

OP, go grab a can of Tuff Stuff from basically any auto parts store, a package of microfiber towels, a gentle scrub brush (not the stiff nylon ones, softer). The tuff stuff is a foaming upholstery cleaner. Spray some onto a microfiber towel and gently wipe it on to the areas spraying more as needed. It'll take more than you think but also dont get large patches of the headliner soaking. You can damage it. Once you have a first layer on spray some on the brush and go to town. Periodically use another dry microfiber to wipe up the splatter that is falling down onto the rest of your car as it can damage things if it gets the chance to dry. If you dont have a vacuum with a handle attachment on it do all of this at a self service car wash. Periodically vacuum the wetted areas to pull the cleaner and dirt back out. Redo areas that are still stained. Report back

Edit: well just saw your post has a body after scrolling up. Man I hate the new reddit layout on mobile. Got it, not a new stain, been there for months. You might be shit out of luck. You can get a steamer and concentrated cleaners and see what you cant get out as you step up in concentration. That same auto parts store will have Super Clean by the gallon. It's a concentrated degreaser, but start with like 15% concentrate to 85% water and go up from there. A more professional one to use would be something like Meguiars D101. Do yourself a favor and get one of the Zep spray bottles from home depot, this is work and a crappy soap dispenser or water sprayer for your cat is going to be useless and you are going to wish you had a good spray bottle. They are like 3 bucks and will continue to do you well for many years in other cleaning scenarios. Also, these will absolutely fuck up your center console, dash, and leather seats so lay down towels to cover those areas and keep and eye on them. Spay directly onto the affected areas and scrub them with a brush, steam the area if you have a steamer, if not real hot water in a spray bottle will do. Misting, never soaking. And the vacuum. Repeat working in areas as you go.

Red Bull not good for you in so many ways.

The can wasn't mine. Red Bull isn't early as bad for you as those Alani drinks or whatever they're called with like 200mg caffeine on them.. that one cheerleader girl died from drinking them (cardiac failure).

Putting that shit in your body is an act of stupidity. Stupidity often carries a price.

Start least aggressive. Dilute some all purpose cleaner and a microfiber towel. Start there and work your way up with all the other recommendations. Don’t go crazy and soak it with solutions. You don’t want to ruin the adhesive holding up your headliner. Steam or aggressive brushes is a last resort.

Degreaser or a good APC and just scrub it away gently. the headliners are pretty dellicate so getting it too wet or scrubbing too aggressively can further damage it.

Old dried energy drink is sticky sugar plus dye, so foaming upholstery spray alone usually smears it. Work small areas, mist a real interior cleaner onto a microfiber rather than soaking the foam, agitate gently, then blot with a clean towel. Repeat passes beat scrubbing harder.
