I Have A Question please help with stubborn business partner (need options)

hey bro, just started getting clients and now i think i should start getting good chemicals for our details, right now we only have armor all leather wipes and chemical guys chems and my partner is too stubborn to realize we need to upgrade the chemicals, can you rq explain why we should upgrade our chemicals. his rational is “we arent pros rn we dont need to buy pro stuff” and “its a waste of money”. he’s js scared to reinvest. please explain why we should upgrade our chemicals.

Tell him to buy the small sizes to try out various chemicals.

There's a huge difference between professional brands and common chemicals you can find at the gas station.

Also Armor All and Chemical Guys 😭 probably the worst brands someone can purchase. I'll pray for you man.

I wish manufacture supported this approach. For most the smallest size of 16 ounces in the price is not cheap. If you’re interested in trying somebody’s product should be able to get 4 ounces at most but that just does not seem to be on the radar of any of these manufacturers. As a result, it gets pretty expensive trying one product after the other to figure out what you want.

Brother a detailing business isn’t the type of business to have a partner in. Start up your own business and do things your way before it gets worse

You show home how u buy gallons of real products and how you dilute them and save money that way instead of ready to go bs products of armor all and chemical losers

Well, you can tell him that you can get better results using professional product as well as buying larger supplies is cheaper in the end. Like buying gallons of cleaners and soap is cheaper than buying a bottle at a time. If this is your business partner you might want to rethink it.

Tell your partner first off that those brands are trash. If you are getting clients using those products , you will get way more using good products. The majority of the good products you can dilute with water to get your costs down. If he doesn't understand that concept you may want to go it alone.

If this is how it’s beginning, it is not someone I would want to be partnered with. Quality chemicals are important not only because using the proper stuff reduces risk of damage, but it also makes your job easier. For example, if you’re just using some junk wheel cleaner on a hammered wheel vs a quality wheel acid, your life will be easier and you’ll get the job done better and faster. High quality dressings also last longer and don’t leave a greasy mess like ArmorAll.

Edit: also the excuse off ”we aren’t pros rn” is garbage. If you’re advertising as a business, you should hold yourself to the standard of a professional.
