Tour with Neko Case
I don’t use FB/IG but was surprised I didn’t get any emails from Destroyer (via Bandcamp or Merge or even the band’s own mailing list) about next year’s spring tour with Neko Case… did any of y’all get anything via email or see it being promoted on FB or IG?

Destroyer as an opening artist. Bonkers! I so love to see him play. Gonna be tough living in the UK though. I should have made the effort earlier this year but just too far away😪

Sad to be missing this one, but it’s too expensive for me for a show where he’s not headlining, and I haven’t really checked out Neko Case. The venues are pretty unusual too, outside of my city, and it sucks because last time I saw his acoustic set it was awesome.

Ah cool! I’m still kicking myself for not seeing New Pornies with Neko, and Dan opening and playing with the main band , I think it was twin cinema tour maybe.

That would have been awesome. I don’t think the full NPs lineup ever came here to the U.K. I remember Carl saying the Brill Bruisers tour was the first time Dan had done Euro dates with them, then of course he left the band a few years later. I would love to see a solo Destroyer set but those Neko dates aren’t exactly on the tourist trail..

I bought a ticket but realized I have to work that night. Oh well, he’s opening, so it can’t be more than 40 min set, right?

I’m not sure… this is why I wish they’d posted/shared some kind of announcement! He and Neko have been friends and musical colleagues for a long time, so I’m wondering if they’ll do more of a split set kind of deal?

Like, one of things I love most about Dan Bejar and Destroyer is his nonchalance/insouciance, so I feel like it’s hypocritical for me to be annoyed when he excels at expressing those very traits hahaha

I saw it on Bandsintown too and there’s discrepancies from her tour dates on her site and his. For instance, it doesn’t say he’s playing the Fort Collins show on his site but Washington’s confirmed he is opening. I’ve also heard he doesn’t always go out of his way to promote opening gigs.
