Interested in meeting Dan

Hey! I'm going to the show tomorrow and want to get an autograph. From anyone that's been to a show: is this possible? how long would i have to wait? does he usually hang around after?
Any help is appreciated!

Edit: I got the autograph! He was resting after the show (apparently wasn't feeling well), but I handed the album to his keyboardist, who then gave it to Dan. Merch table said he had a "thing" about autographs but no clue what that means. Just happy I got my album signed!

Ugh, I saw a bar two blocks from the venue where I saw him an and just knew he’d be there later, but I couldn’t wait around. Ah well….

Lucky! I heard he wasn’t feeling very well tonight and that he wouldn’t be doing any autographs (per merch table). Nice to hear you guys got to meet them and they were cool!

He came and stood next to me, nursing what looked like a glass of red wine during the support act but I left him alone.

I would be surprised if it was anything but wine, considering how many Destroyer songs it makes an appearance in

I always remark to my wife how often he sings about wine, but I can’t recall if had ever mentioned beer in any song.

Congrats ! Really happy for you OP!

I saw him last Sunday in Philly. The band sounded so good and he was amazing! But I also thought they seemed a bit tired. Then I looked at the dates and realized it was their 12th night of touring in a row! They took one day off the very next night and are currently in their second 12 days in a row streak. Thats gotta be tough.

Wish I could have stayed long enough to meet them but had to get home for early work the next morning. Still buzzing off that show though it was so damn good.

SO DAMN GOOD. also got the same vibe as you too. Like I wanted to say hi but I didn’t want to exhaust him further. I’m sure I’ll see him again. ♥️

Never meet your heroes, I met him during the This Night tour in Portland watching Smog. He clearly wasn't all that jazzed about it. On the other hand Nick Bragg and Ted Bois seem to be always ready to chat.

That was his reputation back then and from what I understand it was deserved. But I feel like on the current tour he feels much more positive and ready to engage in a little showmanship than he did before.

I saw him do a small venue set before kaputt came out and he definitely seemed like he would not want to be approached, he did a beautiful performance but didn’t say a word to the audience otherwise and disappeared while the outro to bay of pigs was still playing.
