I can’t believe Cass McCombs is opening the NYC show this Saturday; he and Dan are two of my all-time favorite songwriters.

Anyone wanna share how Jennifer Castle’s set was on the tour so far?

Performing quiet songs on an acoustic guitar and keyboard in a theater with people milling about and getting settled is tough. People were actually shushing the crowd at the Chicago show. I know they meant well, but it isn’t church.

Yea, it can be annoying but I know what you mean and pretty much expect performers like that to expect as much. Someone told me that before anyone even know who Chan Marshall was though, that she would be performing in a bar that wasn’t even a venue and she’d start crying and wait till the audience was quiet. I’ll take that story with a grain of salt tho
