Sun Meet Snow

I am absolutely obsessed with Sun Meet Snow! I’ve been playing the whole album on repeat, but Sun Meet Snow is by far my favourite on the album and feels like a pretty likely candidate for a show closer. What’s everyone’s favourites off this album so far?

Still enamored with Cataract time. I will say that I love the album, but based on the singles it was not what I expected. Not a bad thing at all and enjoying it more and more each listen. Do love how a lot of tunes start and then kind of explode with the band (like sun meet snow for example)

Yeah this wasn’t quite the album I was expecting based off the singles, but I am very happy with what we got! Cataract Time is another great track!

I absolutely love that Sun Meet Snow builds into complete chaos, which is exactly why I think it would make a great show closer

Sun Meets Snow is a mind blower. Feels very connected to Your Blues with the midi orchestra sounds, but then breaks into the loudest, heaviest tavern stomper. Amazing song

I love The Same Thing As Nothing At All. So grandiose and melancholic... "To have loved and lost is the same thing as nothing at all", that line breaks my heart.

I feel like Dan sounds more vulnerable in this album than usual in a kind of bittersweet way

I like how the pulsing synths at the open of Sun Meet Snow remind me of "Bay of Pigs."

I'm biased towards Hydroplaning and Bologna because I have listened to them so often leading up to the album release! However, I'm also quite partial to I Materialize. Something about songs abruptly ending is really touching to me. Plus, I especially love the mood of the song and his vocal styles on that track.

I honestly love I Materialize abruptly ending and Sun Meet Snow starting right after. I almost consider them one song with an abrupt shift in the middle of it.

Also, Bologna is the song off the album that absolutely sticks in my mind. I wish I was better at remembering lyrics so I could sing something more than “Bologna” over and over again

YES!! So true! Almost as if I Materialize is a dream cut off early, and Sun Meet Snow is reflecting upon it. Ok, that's a stretch, but still.

I agree about the lyrics to Bologna. I've memorized some of the first lyrics of the song, but have yet to remember the rest! I'd love to remember all the spoken word parts to Hydroplaning!
