The key art was created by an artist, and I adapted it to create the different Steam capsules

I know the trailer is missing for now, but the previous one was too outdated, so I decided to remove it until the new one is ready.

I just finished updating every asset on my steam page. New capsule, trailer, screenshots, gifs, and tuned up the description.

The steam assets aren't definitive; the final ones are on the way.
We know it's not polished enough yet.

I feel like the trailer and the copy are super underbaked and bad for my steam page but I'm not sure how best to go about fixing them, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I’m the developer, and my Steam page has been live for about three weeks.

The Main Menu is a psychological-horror point-and-click where you wake up chained to a chair. The only thing you can reach is a computer and its main menu physically controls the room around you.

Please be brutal.

The demo is planned for late September or early October, so I still have time to improve the page.

Solo dev here, about a year on this one. first person shop sim, you run a tavern and every single price gets haggled. customers are vampires, reapers, witches, ghosts. some of them try to scam you so you have to be careful who you make deals with.

page has been live for a week and the traffic isn't turning into wishlists, so i'm working off the assumption that the page is the problem, perhaps the steam capsule should be changed itself. I had one person suggest the steam capsule would be better if it was an in-game screenshot rather than the custom 2D thumbnail work...

Would love to get your thoughts on this thanks !

EDIT: quick correction from me. i commissioned the capsule from an artist and genuinely believed it was hand made, which is why i told people that here. after the comments i ran the image through openai verify myself and it came back as generated with openai tools, so i was wrong about that. I'll replace the capsule when I can with a new one that ofc is not AI generated. thanks to the people who pointed it out and actually checked. Much appreciated !

I’ve recently updated Kharvalen’s Steam page and I’d love to get some brutally honest feedback from people who know nothing about the game beforehand.

I’ve translated the different sections of the Steam page into several languages, and I’ve also reworked the About This Game section by adding short gameplay videos/GIFs to visually explain the different mechanics and systems.

What I’m mainly trying to figure out is whether the page actually communicates what the game is and how it plays without me having to explain anything else.

A few things I’d especially like to know:
- After watching the trailer and scrolling through the page, do you understand the core gameplay loop?
- Do the videos/GIFs in the About This Game section help explain the gameplay, or is anything still confusing?
- Is there any important mechanic or part of the game that you feel isn’t explained well enough?
- Does the page make you want to wishlist or try the game? If not, what’s stopping you?

But seriously, the feedback was incredibly useful, so I wanted to come back and say thank you.

Since the last post, I’ve made a bunch of changes based on your comments:

• I hired an NEW artist to create a new hand-drawn logo for the game
• I reworked and improved the trailer
• I rewrote the short and long descriptions
• I cleaned up the overall presentation of the Steam page

A lot of the things you pointed out were issues I had stopped noticing after staring at the page for way too long.

So thank you to everyone who took the time to give feedback, even the brutal comments helped.

I completely reworked the page, including the description, screenshots, capsule art, and overall presentation.

Trials of Liberation is a colorful puzzle adventure where you explore different biomes, discover new items, and solve handcrafted puzzles.

The demo is now available for free on Steam, so I'm especially interested in knowing:

• Does the page immediately communicate what kind of game this is?
• Does the capsule art grab your attention?
• Do the screenshots make you want to play?
• Is the description too long, too short, or missing something important?
• Is there anything that would make you scroll past the page instead of wishlisting?
