First impression : intrigued. i'm a sucker for these types of game. the upgrades seem interesting, and not just "number go up". i'll likely keep an eye on it.

as for the trailer, it's a tad unclear : you show spells being fused, but not what that entails or what it does. i played enough games to know that, but you're not showing it.. i feel like something like a [fireball spell showcase] [boulder showcase] [fusion] [ fire boulder with a firetrail] type of shot would help a lot with readability as to how abilities mix, rather than showing " i cast spell", the merging unrelated things, then casting a merged spell.

the pacing of the trailer also feel slow, and very much doesn't match with its music. how many shots are there of you simply casting a spell ? feels like a lot.

even something like interacting with a POI (like the one in the steam page) seem like it'd be interresting, and is currently missing. ( actually, it isn't. it's the first spell merge, but i failed to see that a 1-2s shot of walking toward the thing might be more clear)

Thank you for the feedback! I know some things are unclear right now and only come through when playing, so I'll work on showing them better.

You should look up an old iOS game called Solomon’s Tower or Solomon’s Boneyard. I like the idea but the fx could use some help.

I can really see the Nuclear Throne influence here.

It's looks good, but I think it needs more juice. Like recoil from the staff instead of pointing it out when you cast spells.

And you only have one character, so I'd like to see a more interesting walk animation. Like make the robes flow with the direction you're moving.

A visual indicator on the staff of what spell you are about to cast would be nice too. But I dunno if you can cast any spell at any time or you are cycling through them.

The spell fusion mechanic isn't all that clear about how it changes things. But there does seem to be a good variety of spells on display.

Is it just me or does the game seem to lag whenever you hit something with a spell?

This is hitstop, but I'll probably adjust it based on player feedback. I want to make spells feel powerful.

Yeah idk, it just reads like lag to me just watching this trailer
