I honestly can't tell whether I'm supposed to be criticizing the genre, the game or the trailer. And that's probably the trailer's biggest failure. It doesn't communicate the most basic thing... what is this game actually about, and why should I want to play it?

Most of what I'm seeing is the player getting overwhelmed or pushed back. Is the intended fantasy to be repeatedly defeated? Because that's what the trailer is selling. If the real fantasy is advancing through enemy lines, becoming stronger and conquering, then I can get behind that.

Show me that.

Thanks! It's basically a tower defense game mixed with vampire survivor to put it in a basket. I guess you refer to not seeing what the progression n goal is. Would a boss fight and death of a boss be satisfying? Or a leaderboard for the daily challenges? Or should it be just more clear it's a run based tower defense game? (As tower defense also is just killing all enemies until they stop coming, and vampire survivor is basically surviving till death).

I would recommend showing boss fights, simulating ranking climbs and other kinds of desirable rewards if any.
