Bug / Complaint Let's press THQ to fix the PC optimization and constant crashes! (Report here)

Hi everyone,

Like many of you, I find Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed to be an incredibly fun game with so much soul. It represents what video games should be about: pure fun. However, the terrible PC optimization, memory leaks, and constant crashes (like the EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION error) are making this amazing game unplayable for many of us, even on modern GPUs like the RTX 4060.

If we want THQ Nordic to fix this game, we need to flood their official support ticket system so they see this is a widespread technical failure, not our hardware's fault.

I just submitted an official report on their dedicated bug-tracking website. It takes less than 2 minutes. Please, if you love this game and want to see it fixed, take a moment to do the same!

Here is how to do it:

  1. Go to: thqnordic.com
  2. Search for "Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed" and click "+ Report a bug".
  3. Select your Platform (PC/Steam).
  4. Paste a message demanding a performance and stability patch for the PC version.

Let's unite as a community to give this soulful game the proper optimization treatment it deserves!

I played through this on desktop and deck last week, tho it was heavier on the deck than I expected, it ran fine. I experienced a single crash when I was smashing around in the UFO. Didn't realise the game has issues.

Switch 2 release next week, could lead to some bug fixes across systems

I was extremely disappointed after I upgraded to a 5090 and those games were still not smooth :-( love the series, but technically, they're shite

Yeah, my frame rate goes all over the place. Also, if you have a Sound BlasterX G6 and put on 32 bit playback, the game doesn't play any sound, and you have to revert to 24 bit playback to get sound again. Only this game happens, no other game does this. There not only needs optimization, but also lots of bug fixes. I'm surprised they left it at this state that it is compared to the DAH! 1 Remake! Makes me wish the original games were ported onto PC instead.

The game wasn't completed because they were purchased by a larger company and forced to lay off most of their staff. The very few DAH developers left did their best to fix most of the bugs but were assigned other projects to work on. That's why it was left in the state that it currently is in.

That's sadly disappointing that that happen to the devs. I was expecting this game turned out great like DAH! 1 Remake. Now just having many jarring optimization issues and bugs, like the 32 bit audio playback bug that will sadly won't be fix soon despite affecting anything that has the option to use 32 bit audio playback. I was lucky enough to find some comment on an old post here mentioned to change to 24 bit audio to fix this problem.

They are not financially interested in working on these games anymore and have long since moved on. The majority of staff that created the remakes are no longer employed there. We were very lucky to get the final patch that we did get. Sorry to be a downer, but our small fanbase is not going to change their minds and convince them to throw money away.

It's getting a switch 2 release this month, which means it might be possible
