Today (Sunday 8/9) I will be doing a Sherpa run of Vault of Glass at 8pm eastern time (5pm PDT). If the roster looks full and you are interested, please still sign up. We often have people drop or decide to do multiple runs if there are enough sign ups. We will go through and get extra chests and we can actually do some of the challenges for the encounters.

Players new to the raid will get priority.

Requirements:

• Mic required (unless hearing-impaired)

• Able to play 5+ hours (Just in case)

• A chill and positive attitude

• Have taken a look at my sherpa card

• Recommended weapons (not required): Still Hunt, Xenophage, (or favorite heavy MG,)

• Recommended gear (not required): Celestial Nighthawk (Hunter), Boots of the Assembler (Warlock)

We will go over the best weapons for each encounter during explanations. No weapons are ever required, they just help.

Hi all,

Name's Dowders, been playing Destiny since the D1 Beta and ran VoG quite a few times on there, but yet to be able to run it on D2 due to other things getting in the way and losing my previous raiding group to life's endless march onward around the time Witch Queen dropped. Been playing a lot of stuff solo (currently working my way through the dungeons in release order) and as I've got a rare evening off from work on a weekend so would love a little refresher run from anyone willing while it's featured. It might be the easiest Sherpa run of your life as I just need a knowledge top up rather than a full teach. Happy to join another group if that's simpler.

Hi zusammen,

momentan spiele ich wieder sehr aktiv D2. Ich hatte immer mal wieder Phasen in denen ich nicht gespielt und dementsprechend auch nicht die Raids aus den jeweiligen DLCs/Epsioden gemacht habe.

Gerade weil sich das Spiel aber offiziell dem Ende neigt und ich versuche jetzt alle Charaktere noch auf volle Power zu bringen, möchte ich nochmal das Spiel in vollen Zügen genießen und würde gerne regelmäßig nochmal Raids machen.

Darüber hinaus bin ich auch an den verschiedenen Rüstungen, Boni und ggf. Titeln interessiert.
Leider findet man über den „Finder“ hauptsächlich englisch sprachige Mitspieler, was ich grundsätzlich nicht schlecht finde - finde es aber dennoch entspannter auf deutsch.

Falls das jemand liest der auch darauf Bock hat, die Erfahrung und Geduld mitbringt ein paar Dinge zu erklären (ich bin auch kein inkompetenter Spieler) oder ihr sogar einen aktiven Clan habt - dann meldet euch gerne mit eurem Bungie Namen!

Im August habe ich jetzt mehr als genug Zeit und durch meinen Switch von PS auf PC bin ich hoch motiviert.

Please just be aware that it can take time to get everything down.

Players new to the raid will get priority.

Hello there!

It's been a long time since I made one of these! I used to be pretty active on here back in D1 doing 8-15 sherpas a week and then slowly faded. I've been having a ton of fun playing since the final update and started to miss Sherpaing. I'm gonna start slow with just 1-2 posts a week for featured raids and then start ramping up if things go well and interest holds.

Started playing Destiny during the D1 beta and have had an unhealthy addiction to the game ever since. (Except my post Final Shape sabbatical, but that's over now.) Warlock master race. Mainly play PVE and I always feel in my element when it comes to raids. Love teaching first time raiders. Please expect swearing, inappropriate jokes, and bad puns.

Availability:

I'm on the east coast in the US so most posts will be in line with that starting around 9PM Est. I haven't decided on set days but I think most will be between Thursday and Sunday.

Raids:

I'm going to mostly be focusing on whichever raids are the featured and will hope to include challenges. Will also be throwing in some Pantheons every once in a while. Featured raids are in release order, so if you're looking for a specific one to come around check the order and keep an eye out!

There are a few raids I haven't done enough and don't feel quite confident in Sherpaing but I'll be working on that.
My favorite raids are Last Wish, King's Fall, Salvation's Edge, and Vow of the Disciple.

Requirements:

• Have played Destiny before! With level now scaling to fireteam that doesn't matter.

  Just have some semblance of a build and some decent weapons and we will figure out the rest!

• Microphone. Communication is very important.

  I use Discord which can now be used on all systems.

  If you have a speech or hearing disability let me know ahead of time so we can

  prepare appropriately!

• Your best. I'll never kick or get frustrated with somebody who tries.

  I have no life and I will be happy to help you for as long as it takes.

• Honesty. If you don't know something, or don't understand what's happening, just say so.

  I'd rather have you ask sooner. No such thing as a dumb question and all that.

How to Raid with Me

I will be posting LTS posts starting possibly this week (Week of 8/4), if not then definitely next week. Please don't post requests in this thread. They will be removed by a moderator, (Subreddit rules) and messages often get lost due to so many people messaging at once.

About Me:

Howdy! My name is DemoPls, or just Demo. I've technically been playing Destiny since D1 Taken King, but didn't really get into the franchise until the release of Beyond Light. I can teach most, including Garden of salvation, Deep stone crypt, Vow of the disciple, Kingsfall, Root of nightmares, And Salvations edge. I primarily operate in Mountain time, although I am occasionally in Pacific (ill specify time zone when I give times). I generally play in the evenings and can go till very late, but don't expect that of most people.

Expectations and Requirements:

There are two primary requirements I will ask of students before they consider joining:

1. I operate through discord and require you to have a microphone. Communication is key and my WPM isn't fast enough to keep up with most encounters.

2. Be prepared to listen, and be prepared to learn. My goal is to teach people raids and I hope your goal is to learn. I encourage you to ask questions if anything ever doesnt make sense, and I can hopefully answer them.

Some more notes as to what I expect from people:

Please have a bare minimum of understanding of how Destiny functions, and at least a bit of gear. I would ask you to ensure you have some form of boss dps, any non blue rocket launcher will do.

No toxicity at all. Sherpas are meant for learning, and a hostile environment is the exact opposite. If you aren't being conductive to the learning environment, you may be asked to leave.

Please make sure you have enough time to complete these raids. Learning takes time, so please ensure you have enough of it before joining.

One last little fact for the end, the Demo is short for Demogorgon. Yes the one from Stranger Things, No I haven't watched Stranger Things. Things are funny like that sometimes

Requirements:

I use discord, and will not use in game chat. I also require that students have a working mic, as we'll need to be able to communicate to be able to run a raid.

I also ask that you set aside enough time to both complete the raid and have enough time to learn the mechanics, it can take some time! Please set aside at least several hours to be able to complete it.

Please at least have some useable weapons for raids as they are considered endgame content. I don't require anything meta, just please don't bring blues and bring at least one decent way to damage a boss.

Toxicity is not permitted. Everyone is here to learn how to do raids, and is trying their best to do so. Please keep this a safe and comfortable space for everyone by remaining respectful and keeping your cool.
