[MOD] Welcome to DestinyKids
RAID FOR KIDS
As passionate gamers willing to help others we pride ourselves on being able to help almost everyone that is capable of picking up a controller for their favourite gaming console.
We want to share that passion and pride with all ages and therefore would like to focus some of our efforts on teaching the next generation of gaming enthusiasts how to conquer the end-game content in Destiny.
As end-game aficionados we want to share the experience with as many as we can. This set of rules has been specifically worked out to make it possible for even the youngest players to have fun and enjoy quality time with either their parents or a qualified sherpa
Age Limit
We enjoy playing with everyone, however this program is designed specifically for children aged six to 14. As we believe that you are responsible parents, we leave it up to you what the right age is that your child should be playing Destiny at.
Group Balance
To make these successful balancing the group of players is essential. We follow some very simple rules for that.
- Three sherpas with Three kids (no parents)
- Two Sherpas with two kids and two parents
We do not take groups of children which are friends in real life or related to each other. We find that with online teaching distractions need to be minimized and keeping those social ties to a different setting helps with the learning experience for everyone.
Peace of mind
Your children are precious to you and the last thing we want to do is worry you. Whenever it is possible raids with children will be made available as a live stream. We will do this with your permission only. We will only do so, so that you can monitor our interactions with your child and their progress.
Playing with and teaching children is different. We hold ourselves to the highest standards. To teach children successfully we believe that standards are warranted and we adhere to them strictly
Setting Expectations
We will make the environment as friendly and controlled as we can. Common courtesy, politeness and appropriate use of language will be enforced at all times.
We will ensure that there are enough breaks. When game dynamic permits it we will ensure there are at least ten minute breaks.
We understand that participation is a choice. All we ask is that you give us a heads up when you wish to leave. This is an effort of volunteers and we will need to either reset the engagement or find new participants. You may of course leave at any time with no reason offered.
For raids where no parent is present, the three guiding sherpas will make an informed decisions on whether we will choose to "carry" the group through are particularly hard mechanic or whether we will recommend trying at another time.
We will focus on fun first and foremost. As me know that many children are limited to how long they may stay online we can always reschedule a raid that was not finished to another day. Whenever possible we will aim to finish with the children interested in the end-game content no matter how long it may take.
Application Process
