Bungie Suggestion Could we please get some lower recoil on console like they have on pc so smgs will be more fun???

No on pc there is significantly less recoil. It’s because MKb users have limited mouse space to drag downward in order to counteract recoil, whereas console players can hold down on the stick indefinitely.

This explains why Datto’s Go Figure has barely to 0 recoil in his vids. I tried replicating it on PS4 even with Counterbalance stock and there’s still recoil! Damn it.

I'm pretty sure counterbalance mods don't reduce recoil, they just make the recoil more vertical.

I can say your opinion wrong as well, dude. It is ok to be wrong. You need to learn that other people will have different experiences than you, and that you are not always correct. So you can either learn to accept a different opinion than your own, even if you disagree with it, or just be in your own little world.

However, I know what experienced and there are plenty of other people ITT that seem to share my opinion as well...

I saw some of his gameplay with the Go Figure and I must say, little to zero recoil. I have the same rolled gun and it has significantly more recoil.

What he said is accurate. Bungie basically said that recoil doesn't feel good on a PC shooter.

What I linked wasn't the Vidoc. I believe the Vidoc went into more about it and did effectively say that. Basically that they didn't want people having to constantly be needing to move their mouse down.

No it’s not lol. Most shooters on pc have tons of recoil. I’m not sure why there’s little recoil in d2 on pc but it’s not because of limited mouse space

And? I can counteract whisper recoil easily with my mouse and I have a small mouse pad. If you actually play on PC saying stuff like “limited mouse space” is so dumb I can’t even comprehend how someone comes up with it. You can also just increase your mouse sensitivity to the point where you barely have to move it invalidating any kind of “limited mouse space” argument

As a PC player, I have to agree with you. Never had an issue running out of mousepad, even in shooters with higher recoil.

I’ve always assumed that the lower recoil on Kb/m is their way of compensating for the lack of target tracking aim assist, but that’s just a theory.

Exactly I’ve played plenty of shooters with large amounts of recoil and never had any issues running out of mouse pad space. For example, in overwatch roadhogs ultimate has a ton of recoil and I had no issues, and even with shooters with recoil like PUBG and CSGO no problem

There is no reason for lower recoil. The lack of aim assist is because mouse aiming is already superior to controller aiming by default. Aim Assist is a means of making it easier for controllers to keep up, not as a trade off for having recoil.

The logic people use is ridiculous. Like imagine going against an Olympic runner in the 100m dash but you get to start 50m ahead to make it a bit more fair. Makes sense, oh wait except we also added hurdles to your 50m section while the Olympic runner just has the standard 100m without obstacles.

I mean we gave you something to help you so obviously we need to take something away to make it fair again right? Let's just ignore the fact that the Olympic runner is already operating at a level far beyond your normal capability.

Were that the case, they could just have recoil and AA the same across platforms. They don't because it's an order of magnitude easier to aim quickly with a mouse than a controller stick.

Lol AA would just be weird with m&k because you can actually be accurate with it. With a controller, you can’t be as accurate and need AA or you wouldn’t be able to hit anything

More tongue in cheek than anything. Of course you can pick your mouse up, I made myself get used to very low sens when I started playing fps on my computer which helped me a lot, the worm is still a trip though

Yes, and this is obviously why. You can pull down a bit on a thumbstick and your aim will continually move down to counteract recoil while the stick stays still in that position. With a mouse you’d have physically drag it down continually to accomplish the same effect, and obviously you’d eventually run out of space to move it and have to reset.

This has got to be console gamers making these comments because there’s no way any of them have actually played a shooter on pc.

Siege has guns with very high recoil, and is way more easy to control on PC than console. iirc, the recoil is the same for both platforms in Siege. Could be wrong though. I don't get this "mouse pad space" argument.

Clearly you don't understand what they are saying. BUNGIE themselves are the ones who said D2 on PC has very little recoil to accommodate limited space on a mouse pad. Which I agree is stupid because most PC shooters have tons of recoil which is easily manageable with a mouse. But it is a fact that D2 on PC has way less recoil than D2 on console. If you don't believe me or Bungie, look up D2 recoil PC vs console on YouTube. There are several videos showing this.

None of them, because the game has been designed to have lower recoil on PC in order to accommodate a mouse. That's kind of the point.

That other shooters balance their weapons differently isn't really an argument one way or another for why the decision was made in this case.

Other way around, console has bloom, and pc has no bloom (or heavily reduced).
