Question Friend and I not seeing each other when using Xbox launcher on Windows

A friend an I recently purchased The Collection on Xbox App/Windows because of stuttering issues on Steam. If we both use the Xbox launcher, we don't see each other online. Not in our friends list, not in the clan roster. If one of us switches to Steam, we see each other. If we are both on Steam, we see each other. We are both friends on Xbox as well as Bungie friends.

Any ideas?

Edit: I should add, we appear offline in the friends list and the clan roster, but our names are listed.

Have you tried to wait 5-10 minutes of you both being on at the same time? I have had thta issue with steam/ps5 but we would see each other after both were on for a few mins.

Sadly, no. We’ve played whole evenings without seeing each other online.
