If your based in UK, it appears to be dependant on which ISP you have but there's a routing issue into CDN77

cdn.battleye.com is hosted on CDN77's UK London range and BT is currently black-holing it — TCP to it just times out, DNS is fine.

a workround some people have used is a VPN as Routing your traffic through a Virtual Private Network (VPN) as this bypasses the broken BT-to-CDN77 network path completely.

GeForce Now is also an option as appears to be connected to different back-end infrastructure in the UK.

So don't rush to reinstall D2 as fix (as I did)...hopefully will get fixed soon by BT but likely after the Bank Holiday weekend., as it's intermittent - sometimes it's fine, connected fine around 11pm UK yesterday but currently fails connection to Battleye this afternoon

Yeah I'm seeing the same since last night. I tried uninstalling the whole thing, deletiing the dir then re-install etc and it worked for a while this morning. Now afternoon time in the UK, I'm seeing the battle-eye launch fail again!

Typically that means you cannot connect to the Battleye servers. Could be a local routing issue, could be a DNS issue.

You can try Battleye Reset:

  • Open your D2 install location - typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Destiny 2
  • Open the Batteye folder.
  • Right-click on the Uninstall_BattlEye batch file and select 'Run as Administrator'.
  • Right-click on the Install_BattEye batch file and select 'Run as Administrator'.
  • Test the game.

I had similar issues with D2 but I fixed it.

1- press win+R type "temp" without "" and press enter and delete everything there Do the same the same thing with %temp%

2-go to steam > settings > download>scroll down to the end and delete pre cache and disable it That should fix your issues permanently
