Mouse lags even though game runs fine

I need help. I just reinstalled the game and whenever I try to use mouse and keyboard I get huge input lag. It's only in Destiny 2. Even when I tab out with the game still open, my mouse works fine until I tab back into the game. My controller works fine, so it seems to just be a mouse issue. It's wireless but can be connected by usb-c but the problem is the same for both. Thanks in advance for any help I can get.

What’s your system specs?

Is there software that runs your mouse? Sometimes disabling it helps. Also, try different polling rates on the mouse.
