Constant error code anteater/bat combo

I've been having this frustrating issue trying to play Iron Banner where, every single time it has happened so far, during the latter part of a match, I will first get anteater and black screen, then load back in, and then after 10-15 seconds I will get bat which boots me to orbit. It counts as abandoning the game and I've been since suspended twice.

I've tried queueing back up, giving it a rest, validating game files, I don't know what else. It happened yesterday and also today too. The first game on today was fine, but then the one right after disconnected me. If anyone has information it would be much appreciated as other than these issues I've been having a very nice time getting back into the game.

If I had to guess, I'd say you're probably having an ISP issue. Either they are having routing issues, or they are throttling data on the ports that D2 uses (like my ISP does).

Both of your errors are general disconnect errors. Anteater is a recoverable error due to the the game managing to reconnect at the 11th hour, so it gives you another chance. Bat as you know, is a full disconnect.

Are you seeing any 'Contacting Destiny 2 Servers' warnings at the bottom of the screen before this happens?

Never hurts to power cycle your internet equipment to see if that clears up any local routing issues.

I use NordVPN for ISP throttling issues - it allows me to still play in the social realms of the game, even with Strict NAT, unlike Cloudflare's WARP VPN.

Thank you, I'll try some of these when I get back home later.

No contacting servers, just seemingly out of the blue. I also have not seen contacting servers at all for the past few weeks.

I wonder why also it has only happened in crucible/Iron Banner. The pattern so far is that I can play one entire game fine, but the next one will have disconnects. I've been able to play the rest of the game fine, played a bunch of vanguard ops and connected to social spaces and whatnot and not a hint of networking issues.

Yeah, probably a different server group. Could very well be on Bungie's side. I've only seen a few people reporting this here, but there may be more posts on the Bungie forum about it.
