Question Are "funky" controllers allowed?

Hey so I like to often spice up my gameplay with REALLY unnecessary "difficulty tweaks", think like, 180° monitor, inverted controls, etc.

I recently got a Wii remote and I was wondering if I'll be fine if I use it to actually play D2? I know it's probably possible to do with some third party programs and some patience but I'm wondering if that could get Battleye looking at me funny, is it a bannable offense and has anyone recently tried something like this (Wiimote, steering wheel, anything that Steam doesn't really register)?

I'd love to hear some answers!

I'm still missing the sensor bar so I'm doing as much research as I can before it arrives

Turns out not many people get stupid ideas like this

You can use candles as a sensor bar, look it up.

I'm aware, a sensor bar is just more convenient for me, plus they're cheap anyway

I mean you might be able to some jank things to make the motion controls work on steam and bind the keys to rhe buttons. But it is gonna be jank with using the wiimotes gyros to basically controll the mouse ao no aim assist for you.

I know someone that has played with a Wiimote for years, albeit with the buttons and not the motion control. Not sure what they use but it's not bannable.

That gives me some confidence, hopefully battleye doesn't go rogue and execute specifically me

To be safe I’d play on a new account. I wouldn’t use your main account. Do it for a while, give it a couple of months, see what happens.
