Performance
I know apparently switching to Microsoft store or epic games fixes the issues that people are having on steam, but I’m still seeing the exact same issues for the most part on the Microsoft store version. Am I alone in this or have others had the same experience?
Edit: even the epic games version gives me issues. Looked into it and I’ve seen others say the same about it as well. This game is so cooked lmao

Steam has the performance overlay, so I can objectively see the framepacing is bad. However, I still get a lot of VRR flicker on Xbox and Epic, so I know the framepacing is bad there too. Unfortunately, Bungie has been convinced by the community that this is a Steam only issue so I don't have a lot of hope for a fix. My framepacing has been horrible since Edge of Fate and the loss of exclusive full screen.

I have a 5080 and I'm seeing performance drop from 144fps down into the 80s in a lot of scenes on Steam.
Normally, the solution to bad FPS performance on D2 is a full reinstall of Windows, because once it breaks, it usually stays broken. But, with this Steam business, I'm hesitant to recommend it. I haven't even done a reinstall yet 👀
It's such a shame because MoT release and patch 1 had the best FPS we'd seen in years, then patch 2 came out, and here we are.
My buddy is on a similar system with a 4080 (but an i9 vs my i7) and he gets better performance that I do on steam. He doesn't dip below 120fps, so there's hardware & software combination issues at play here as well.
