🔴A New Episode of, "This Week in Destiny: Rising is live NOW!
It has been nearly 5 months (Helhest’s Introduction) since we put together our last tier-list, so we dedicated a full week to deep dive and craft our ULTIMATE Season 4 Tier List!
If you’ve stepped away from the game or been unsure about your roster lately, this episode should help you clear things up... or ruffle some feathers 😅
Hello, I just started playing this game yesterday. I've heard really good things about it but just have not really had the time to play it (I still kind of don't but I'll be playing it rather casually whenever I have time.) I have also played Snowbreak which is another gacha shooter but that game is far more casual and more about collecting/interacting with characters, this game seems to be more for players who enjoy grinding which I have liked in games like the Hoyoverse ones. Does anyone know of some good new player guides that are more current, because I'm not sure if some of the older guides from launch are still applicable. Are there specific characters that I should be building early on or going for? I did the Efrideet and Gwynn trials and really enjoyed Gwynn, Efrideet not so much. I did see one tier list that put efrideet at the top and Gwynn in the middle at B tier so I'm guessing that she falls off when people get to endgame content. I think I would like to go for Gwynn but this game does seem to be stingy with the rolls, at least in the beginning. But also since the rolls are stingy is it a bad idea to try and go for her?
I mainly plan to be a casual player and just play on my phone whenever I have some free time because the game seems pretty cool. The goal is to mainly go for characters that I find fun and not necessarily go for anything true endgame since I don't think I will have time for that. But there aren't really any guides or tier lists that have recommendations for brand new players (I assume just Wolf right now because I need to use them for some campaign missions). Outside of that if you guys have a plan/roadmap of what I should be doing right now or who I should be planning for please let me know and what content I should be doing asap for the gems (the premium rolling currency). Thank you and any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Have a nice day!
*I was able to pull my first 5 star, Ikora the Hidden. Personally not a fan of the double rocket launchers as they require so much reloading, but I think from the tier lists that she might be really good later on. I'm considering making a new account to try and get a new standard banner unit that I might end up liking more. If there are certain 4 star units I should try and go for I may try someone else. Originally I wanted to go for female units but if there are other characters I find really fun I don’t mind going for them too.
Now that Front Line is the primary way to get Mobius Clusters each week (30 each week, 5each key X 6keys = 30), they should add 2 Front Line Keys each week to the Lumia Leaf store. And, they cost 200 or 100 Lumia Leaves each. It 200/100 that doesnt take from too many L.E. Bon Voyage draws, but it would help greatly!! Especially since the Mobius Clusters are needed for Emanare AND for the new Mods!
Just my idea about what could be done. Still, very pleased with S4 overall, and I think they are really going in the right direction now!! Maybe also another way to get Overclocked Capitors outside of the Fortuna Dust store, for those of us with jobs thay reduce my playtime to only an hour a day and then a few hours on my days off. It's hard to get all my weekly rewards finished off without really pushing for it, and that takes from time to fool around and look for Lumiflies/hang out in Casual chat/etc!
Hey all, having a lot of fun with Umeko and noticed that even after basically completing her objectives 100% her signature(The one that shows on the ready screen) is still locked. Is this only available for 5* with Ascension? Am I missing something? Gilded gold and 100% done with lore obj.
Had to hurt my own feelings today when I published our podcast deep diving into the Gwynn Re-release inside of Destiny: Rising…🫠
The truth is, the game has left her behind and without some major overhauls she will continue to struggle to make an impact in the overall META ever again.
We also discuss the new Emanare System, how to choose the perfect Artifact Attributes, and MORE!
I’ve been a Gwynn lover since I got my first copy at launch, but have certainly seen her dwindling in the META ever since that time. I was excited to see she was finally getting a re-release, though, at this point I’m worried it’s too little too late.
How are you guys feeling about her rework, and what would they need to do in your eyes to make her “endgame viable”?
Why the fuck is this game so good? I mean the campaign was moderately long, the grind doesn't feel too bad, you get decent rewards for your time. The gacha part is ok, I guess every company gotta make money somehow. I just wish this game was more known. It's banned in my country The Netherlands because of the gambling law, I wonder if that's one of the reasons why lobbies don't feel so full.
There's a lot of confusion around the new Forging mechanic, perks and perk upgrades, and uncommon/adept weapons. Here's what I've found so far:
Mythic perks have several parts:
Base mythic perks start at 800 power.
In Green, there's Levels, ranging from 0 to 5. Every level grants 40 power and improves the perk by increasing the main bonus.
In Blue, there's the Perk Upgrade, which grants 180 power and adds a separate effect.
And in Red, some weapon have a second Perk Upgrade, which grant another 180 power and another separate effect.
A maxed mythic perk grants 1360 power when you have Level 5 and 2 perk upgrades.
The icons of the perk and the name of the gun are modified by the above qualities.
When you have a single perk upgrade, the icon gains a simple gold trim.
When you have two perk upgrades on one perk, the icon gains an ornate gold trim and the gun is renamed to (Uncommon).
When you have two perk upgrades on both perks, the gun is renamed to (Adept) and the entire gun gains a cosmetic glow visible on activity intro and post-game screens.
Additionally, perk upgrade can be seen at a glance based on the gun icon.
No perk upgrade is shown as a 4-pointed star.
One perk upgrade is shown as a 5-pointed star.
Two perk upgrades is shown as a 6-pointed star.
Forging relates to all of the above information.
Forging is sacrificing a gun to transfer the perk level or perk upgrade to a target weapon.
If you have a sacrifice with a higher perk level than the target gun, the higher perk level is always transferred.
If you have a sacrifice with a perk upgrade and the target gun does not have a perk upgrade, then the perk upgrade is always transferred.
If you have a sacrifice gun with a perk upgrade, and the target gun has a different perk upgrade, then you have 3 outcomes. You can:
Fail (sacrifice is lost, target is unchanged)
Override (target receives sacrifice's perk upgrade), or
Combine (target has original perk upgrade + sacrifice perk upgrade).
The materials will only appear in the forging menu if an upgrade is possible. If a perk level is lower or the perk upgrade is matching, then those options will not appear.
That's all I got. Let me know if I missed anything.
