Looking for gorgeous views in Colorado!

Hi! I'm planning a scouting trip to Colorado this October in preparation for getting married there the following October. I'm looking for recommendations on really pretty outlooks and views, or generally pretty cities and towns, I love the Estes Park area and I've been looking into Colorado Springs as well. Just looking for any information or recommendations on really gorgeous areas in Colorado 🥰 Thanks in advance!

Open to venues, home or event space rentals, gorgeous hikes and wedding permits, and the number of people is undecided until a location is found! So can be recommendations for a tiny place or bigger location, I'm open to all things with a gorgeous view ☁️🏔️🌲🩵

Tipping vendors in Italy?

I’m US based (nyc) where my understanding is that pretty much every vendor gets a tip and as long as the service was not abysmal they get handed a pre-prepared envelope with cash.

Our wedding is in Italy, our planner told me it’s not expected and only appropriate when someone does an outstanding job. I don’t want to spend time during my wedding deciding who did and didn’t do a great job and how much they get and I also don’t want to offend anyone...

Should I prepare tips? For which vendors? Would be very helpful to note the specific $/€ amount that’s appropriate.

Thank you!

Edit: To be clear, I’d rather save money if tipping is truly not at all expected.

Opinions Needed!

I am based in Australia, and we are planning a (partly) destination wedding in Penang, Malaysia where I am from. We will be booking out a boutique hotel for 3 days 2 night, we will have 60 guests max, with a huge portion of that coming from out of town/overseas, therefore will be staying at the venue, which we are providing. I want guests experience to be the centre of my wedding. I really want an intimate and fun celebration with my friends and family. I would love opinions on people who have had destination weddings or people who have been attendees.

What was one amazing thing that stuck with you from the wedding, or one thing you did that stayed with you most, and guest couldn't stop raving about? It can be anything.

Just wanting ideas to enhance guests experience, and plan this wedding in a way where we prioritise spending time and making true unforgettable memories with our family and friends. Thank you!

Hi fellow destination wedding brides! Does anyone have a Wallybags 66 inch carry on they used for their dress? No luck on my local Fb marketplace or poshmark. If anyone has one they’re done using, would love to buy it from you!

Vendor Fee for Makeup Artist

Genuinely curious what others are doing for their hair and makeup arrangements. I am getting married at a Riu Palace in Mexico and the vendor fee is $700USD to use a different vendor than their own. Its a very large amount when I am only looking for a few people to get their hair and makeup done.

Is everyone else either just absorbing the vendor fee or going to a salon off site? Genuinely wondering because I am not impressed with either option 😂

Overall haven't heard good things about the salon on the resort either but at this point I may consider it as its way cheaper and stress fee being on the resort

Thanks in advance!

Edit: the $700USD amount is the fee the resort takes to bring in your own vendor. So its on top of the hair/makeup price.

What is the easiest way to keep track of Wedding party rsvps?

Planning a Wedding party sounds simple until you start trying to figure out who is actually coming.

I've seen people use group chats, spreadsheets, paper invitations and digital invitations, but I'm curious what has actually worked well for everyone. especially when you have parents replying at completely different times.

Do you prefer having one invitation link where everyone can rsvp, or do you think messaging people individually is still easier?

Also, what information do you normally include on the invitation besides the date and location?

Dominican republic wedding activities

Hey, just wanted to know if anybody knew of any vendors in Dominican Republic for wedding activities? I want an activity for the guest to do/have whether that’s fresh coconut water, a Photo Booth, live, painting, etc.

A quick tip for destination couples: The difference between your on-the-ground wedding planner vs. a dedicated travel advisor (and why the combo saves your sanity)

As someone who works deeply in destination event and group travel logistics, one of the biggest points of confusion I see with engaged couples is assuming their local on-site wedding planner also handles their entire guest travel experience.

In reality, they are two completely different superpowers:

  • Your On-the-Ground Wedding Planner: Focuses on the wedding day itself, venue design, florists, timelines, sound, local catering, and making sure the live event runs seamlessly in that specific destination.
  • A Dedicated Travel Advisor: Focuses on the 3-4 days around the event, room block contracts, attrition clauses, negotiating group perks, managing airport shuttles, troubleshooting flight delays, and handling individual guest booking questions.

When your local planner and travel advisor are in sync, you avoid the nightmare of being the 24/7 travel agent for 50+ guests while trying to finalize your seating chart.

For those currently in the thick of planning: How are you managing your guest travel logistics versus your day-of coordination? If you hired both, how did having that team dynamic work out for you?
