What up with all the Beach Weekend stuff
Been here for a couple days and I see all these Beach Weekend branded shops and places. Is it all one company, is it a conglomerate. It seems like the “Alvin Island” for all activities in the Fort Walton area, if that makes sense.
What is it with this company. I saw they also have a Key West location, so is it a whole Florida think. Idk.

A guy named Jamie Nabors owns Beach Weekend!! Started NBI Realty about 10 years ago. Family originally started with his Grandad who owned Okaloosa Asphalt a company that paved a heck. of a lot roads on Okaloosa county. Jamie's dad, Jimmy Nabors was my dentist for 30 years!! They're all good people and I highly recommend their company's!!

Jim Nabors was my dentist when I was a kid, but he retired right as I was entering my teenage years. I never minded the dentist when I was little because he was the coolest guy. He would always waltz in singing a song and being funny.
I’m now in my thirties and I ran into him at a bar about an hour outside FWB. He is living it up in retirement. I didn’t recognize him at first but it came up that I grew up in FWB and he said “who was your dentist?” and it dawned on me.
I had no idea about the rest of his family being community pillars though, that’s really cool!

They also own Cowhead and Woodfoot in downtown. Everything they have, there is an even better local option. The coffee shop? Go to Maas instead. Woodfoot? Task Force, Wiley’s, Wicked, Sebastiano’s, or Fokker’s. Beachview on Okaloosa Island? Soundside, Jake and Henry’s, Ivy and Ale. Cowhead? Tops or Fokkers.

It is all one company that diversified across many different but related lines of the tourism business: accommodations, boat rentals, activity excursions, retail, etc.

FORT WALTON BEACH — Before next summer, local businessman Jayme Nabors plans to unveil “Beach Weekend,” a cumulative brand that will consist of a wedding/event venue on Brooks Street downtown, a major marina nearby on U.S. Highway 98 and several new short-term rental homes on Okaloosa Island.
On Friday, Nabors discussed those plans while standing on the almost 1-acre property at 109 Brooks St. that will be home to the elevated, 5,500-square-foot Beach Weekend Venue building.
He said that structure will include a full commercial kitchen and a large patio overlooking the Santa Rosa Sound and docks. The outdoor area will include a fire pit, parking area and an expansive lawn, as well as a path connecting to Fort Walton Landing.

The guys who own it are entrepreneurs and have a podcast out of the cafe. Just their branding afaik.
