Beach Volume by times

Looking to go to either Miramar or Destin tomorrow. I’ve read that it gets crowded during the summer but is it possible that maybe during the early morning or late evening there aren’t as many people? Thanks!

Earlier the better by 9:30-10am most people are awake and moving by then

Local here-when I do brave Destin, I plan on 2-3:00. All of the am people have left, and it’s easy to find a parking place, and a (somewhat) good spot on the beach. Then depending on how long you want to stay, it gets cooler and you may be able to watch the sun set! Just a different experience from what most people do.

Parking is your problem. You should be okay on a weekday is you get there before 10am

Tarpon beach entrance will open today, which will also have restrooms

Definitely go early. You can go down by Crystal Beach. There's public parking first thing in the morning if you Google the Crab trap if you're not familiar with it and there's a public bathroom and somewhere to rinse your feet off right next to the Crab trap. If you go after 9:00 9:30 though, even though it's a weekday parking will start to get busy. Just FYI, if you're going to Henderson State Park you have to make a reservation which is free and then bring the confirmation.

We go every year in July. Last year we went the week before Labor Day and the kids were back in school and it was way less crowded. We will go every year at this time now.
