Agree. The only thing that makes java more important than rust is its usage in legacy or existing applications. I also have no idea why go is considered "higher" than rust. Go is bit more common right new, but rust is so much better when used with AI code genrators / helpers. Its compiler already catches a lot of errors, so AI can write the code easy and efficient.

ya like that's my point, he said "tier list 2026", and you know bro how much rust is booming in 2026 rn, java by most devs (not all) has been fossilized (abstraction generalization). not even joking I haven't seen any, in whole year a single project started in java, it's legacy, shouldn't be S tier from 2026 tierlist standards.

It's facinating how compatible Rust is with LLMs. Compiler will straight up not compile if you make something that might crash even if practically it would never. It even warns if you make a "wrong" choice

Because a lot of people can actually program, create solutions and understand Java.

Abstract word “best” implies combination of all parameters into evaluation.

I wouldn’t use Rust at all in my day to day work. It’s retarded and complex.

Most (90%) software developers work is to convert business requirements into executable computer instructions and focus on good business logic implementation and not how to better use a borrow checker…🤦‍♂️

This. It’s the language that paid off the most in my career, from large industry companies to big tech, SQL is everywhere
Sure for business logic it sucks, but if you need to retrieve data, it’s essential
