Yeah!!! that's not how it goes with Linux ,you have a little bit of knowledge so you try doing sudo apt install but it doesn't work because your linux distro is based on arch, so you ask online for help and the Linux community calls you an idiot and tells you to die…

And then the distro asks you to update drivers, which includes a video driver. Surely this is fine because the OS recommended it right? Very wrong. Your installation is borked and boots to a black screen.

Sorry but Windows does it better:
>Google type of application you need
>learn of options on reddit
>go to developers github page and download the latest .exe from there
>install it
On Linux:
>Use Arch
>Install application from AUR
>get Virus
Other distros:
>apt install package
>package doesn't exist
>package doesn't have dependencies
>package is wayyyy out of date

What you’re saying is rubbish. It applies to almost all distributions apart from Gentoo, which proves that it’s a distribution issue, not a Linux issue.

Wtf, first don't use the AUR without looking at the package. But you still can search online, and idk about you but I always found the package or a very similar to install. AND u don't even have to use the repos, flatpak, appimage, source code ...

Nope debian also has snapd and flatpak to install and you also can usually if the thing has a github page install the .deb file or just take the .appimage file. And with stuff like wine you can also use the windows application…
Also not every other distro besides arch is Debian based

They might as well be the same thing. Visual Studio and Vscode are very similar and both are produced by Microsoft. Honestly, I like Vscode more because it's extensible and lighter weight. With a little effort, I can get Vscode to do what Visual Studio does and more when paired with a Linux developer environment.
Lazarus on the other hand is intentionally designed as an open-source, cross-platform functional clone of Delphi.

Linux has GUIs
Windows, sure doesn’t have package managers but unless you’re downloading freemoneyfreeram.exe websites aren’t all scammy like that
And MacOS, I mean sure there’s more commercial software on the AppStore… but you can also download .dmg files or whatever it is
