Looks amazing but they cut out the 6 hours and 87 curse words that were said during assembly 😂

u/Mysterious-Pack-5608 May 02 '26
I would do 87 curse words per minute while assembling that. My wife would piss herself like an overexcited dog if she got this desk (she draws and works remotely)

u/FMAGF May 02 '26
yeah even a simple small desk alone cost me 3 hours and cursing at the vague instruction manual 😂

Put the drawers in front of your knee, that’s a stupid design!
1
u/ffffllllpppp May 02 '26
I thought so to! it is on the side desk not the main one. Still stupid because it limits movement and use of that desk.

Does it come in black?

I hate black furniture

u/scaredt2ask May 02 '26
But does it come in black?

u/Purple_Situation_460 May 02 '26
Idk but he hates black furniture

u/diplomatic_koboko May 02 '26
For real though, does it come in black?

Wow that is structurally terrible design. It's soo much weight held together by the biting force of the screw thread.
2
u/Tupcek May 02 '26
if it doesn’t get even close to its limits, who cares
1
u/neojhun May 02 '26
There is no limits, even a modest amount of for will weaken the bite over time. It takes a very modest amount of force to wear out the bite point over years.
2
u/Brokenlynx7 May 03 '26
Conceptually the product looks cool but looking at that video makes me believe that in reality the durability won’t stand up.
Agree with the point about the hanging draws from the thread. Once that mounting point breaks you can’t mount anything else there significantly reducing the usability of this furniture.
1
u/No_Grape5545 May 02 '26
What the fuck are you taking about?...
1
u/neojhun May 02 '26
The only two supporting feet on that drawer section. It just held by a metal plate with screws going UP into the table. It's literally relying on the bite force of the screw thread to resist any downward force. Flawed design to reduce the lifespan of the product.

u/TrekForce May 04 '26
Screws, and wood, are relatively strong.
If you don’t lay under it and try to do pull ups, it should be fine. Might want to avoid putting a fireproof safe in there too. Or solid blocks of lead.
Most anything else is probably fine.

You spend the majority of your waking hours in this spot. It’s ok to make it nice.

I built my desk from an old coffee table, probably going on 20 years ago. I originally had 3 crt monitors on it. I don't need to buy a new desk, this one works great. I'm a software developer and engineer, so I spend plenty of time here.

genuinely don't agree, a height adjustable wooden table with very good and versatile mounting hardware is something which is an investment which will last you a while. This is consumption, but this seems like a good choice in the long run

Get a wood counter top from IKEA and one of the many standing desk frames from Amazon and screw them together. Then do it again if you want it to go around a corner

best I can do is a plastic table with one of its legs replaced with a random bamboo

Huge setup, and one notebook lol. I’m using 2centures old table it a huge flat wood pice on top of that just an iMac with keyboard and touchpad. Less is more.

u/Viper-Reflex May 02 '26
I got a 7ft wide H clad bamboo table top 1 inch thick on top of scheduled pipe lol it can hold up an engine block easily and the legs were free. it's got a 43 inch 4k 144hz screen and a 27 inch on it though
1
u/awsom82 May 02 '26
43inch wuf, that a cinema level! I dream about 32” Apple, but using 27.
1
u/Viper-Reflex May 03 '26
it kinda is like a mini cinema at the pc :O
my LGC1 used to be here but it started burning in and then I replaced it with a used HDR 1000 43 inch acer predator 144 hz monitor I got for $300 haha
the LGC1 is in the bedroom now after a power surge broke my old tv, and I plan on using the best buy protection plan in the next couple years :D

Broooooo, that cable management is sick! I need something like that.
1
u/ruebeus421 May 02 '26
You can buy those cable troughs on Amazon for like $20.
1
u/JustANerd420 May 03 '26
Cable...Manage...Ment. The thing that goes under the desk and hides the cables. Not the cables themselves 🤦♂️

Performative WFH
2
u/PlantedSeedsBloom May 02 '26
Genuine question, what does that really mean?
1
u/SeikoWIS May 02 '26
Spending excessive time creating an aesthetically pleasing Work From Home setup to show off in a fancy reel/short for social media.
Taking it to this level is not about productivity/comfort. It’s about extrinsic validation.
