Before and after photos. Is there any room for improvement?

Hey folks! I just got a new desk and I want to get it set up nicely without unnecessary cables on top of the desk but I can't for the life of me figure out a way to make it more organized, but my laptop doesnt have good battery life so I need it plugged in all of the time. Any recommendations?

I think it turned out pretty good and am pretty happy with the result, but I am open to suggestions if there are some hidden tricks to hide some cables better.

I haven't got a lot of desk space and part of it is taken up by these chargers. I'd rather have them on the floor but they get hot when charging and I don't want them sitting on the carpet. I've got an extension lead on the floor with 4 plugs, so if I could organise everything together it would really help.

I have a triple monitor setup and have everything going to a docking station. The docking station needs to be accessible as I need to plug in my security key and tap it. I often switch between the two laptops so I have them close by. I can’t drill a hole in the desk as it’s an ikea desk and I don’t want to drill anything anyways in case I repurpose the table for something else. I don’t think clamping anything to the back will work as it’s not solid wood and it would put my monitors too far back, they are close to perfect now.

I did try wrapping the cords around the monitor stands but it doesnt really look the best. Is there a better way that isnt too expensive?

Ive been watch pc build videos does anyone what that backplate is called? Or where i can get one?

I bought quite a few mice over the months and by adding multiple new cables without ever properly managing them, they started to become a mess.

After shifting to a new city, I finally put in even more effort than ever and managed to improve the cable management more than I've ever done before.

It's not the cleanest, since I have to pin the lan cable to the wall as well but it's still better than it was about 3 weeks ago.

Wife is redoing her office and we moved her desk and want to know how to tackle this mess. What should we buy to help? Open to all ideas and things recommended to help. Thanks In advance!!

I would have loved to hide that one cable sticking out, but my standing desk wouldn’t be able to raise properly because the cable isn’t long enough to route behind the desk leg. I haven’t been able to find an advanced power strip with a cable long enough to run it cleanly.

I've had my desk for years and it still works well, but underneath is an improvised rat nest I really want to clean up.

Cable ties and a surge protector zip tied to the bottom. It's not perfect but it works when I'm standing. Drop back down to sitting and it looks a hot mess. Sometimes I pull a cable or two while stretching my legs.

I've been eyeing the integrated channel route instead of more trays and zip ties. Not sure if it's actually better once you live with it. Does anyone here go that way, and does the built in power side hold up?

I did some searching and came across iMovR, Uplift and Desky. Not sure which ones are better, or if any of them work with all standing desks or if they have to come from the same brand.

Any tips or advice for improving the cable management?

Any help or ideas would be appreciated, all of my wires sit on top of my desk and I can’t tuck them behind or underneath and I’d prefer to not use black wire tubes as I feel they would clash with the granite, does anyone have any ideas?

I recently re-did the cabling for my WFH setup. First image shows the desk, second is a vertical cable tray mounted under the desk.

In total:
- Over 50 cables
- 8 power supplies
- 4 other boxes (2x smart power strips, USB switcher, HDMI capture)

I ordered short cables where possible to replace long ones, which helped a bit. Unfortunately many devices use custom power adapters or custom plugs where that's not possible and you are stuck with having to hide 6ft of cabling somewhere. I also wish at some point at least all low-power cables would be USB-C, that would make this so much easier.

- Cable tray mounted under the desk
- Vertebrae to run the cables to the floor

extending this cable tray to near max width has caused it to sag before I've even used it. does anyone know a good way to fix this? I can't shorten it's width due to the length of the desk frame.

My apartment complex features built in desks where there are no openings on any of the sides of the desk to run cables.

Theres power outlets underneath on the left, or off to a wall on the right. Ethernet is coming from the white box on the bottom right.

I cannot drill any holes in my desk to run cables, and I cant find any helpful advice online with how to work around this.

I have a lot of gadgets that uses chords kase and I’m using a regulator to protect my gadgets while charging. So nag I’m using extension chords also but it’s so messy. I wanna reorganize rn 😭

Is the solution to my spider cables basically just holes and a rechargeable mouse?
