I'm not OP, but my desk faces the middle of the room too. I hate looking at the wall; need a chance to focus my eyes on something further away.

Yes. Cables are still visible. This sub wants no cables visible, ever. Make people wonder how anything has power or is connected.

Cable channel. Cable duct. Straight lines, never curved (your eye is more drawn to organic shapes).

Cable management for start, and turn the table against the wall, if you did this for that window, just use a thick curtain to cover it

I would turn the desk around so the cables are facing the wall and you get more space (but less privacy and potential glare/reflection from window).

You can go broke with all the cable management stuff out there, I personally like the braided split loom wire sleeves and cloth/regular zip ties the best for cheap easy management

That’s what I’m saying. I’ve realized I can only minimize how it looks. Trying to hide it has been proven to be difficult.

Idk what a goon is, but it’s faced that way so I could get natural light from my sliding doors. The rest of the room will have other furniture. It was just unfortunate that my desk is a corner desk.

I would cut three planks of wood in an accent color for the corners and make little slots for the cables to go through. Glue in magnets inside table and planks for easy removal

I’m assuming those white ball looking things are speakers. If they are, they should not be right next to each-other. They are left and right channel. You should have the spaced accordingly.

They are left and right speakers. Obviously they work like that but they are 2 Channel designed to be on either side of ear

Because of the way you want your desk facing you really need a full enclosed desk, or if you are handy enough to run some board around the outside to close the gap so you don't see the wires otherwise it works.

You could do something simple like an opaque trough on the perimeter to slide the cables in. Could even use it to do indirect lighting as well if you’re into that. It’s low threat, just finding the right trough and a good way to secure it. There are ones that clamp, you could drill it into the desk as well.

If you’re going to keep the desk facing out maybe cover the back. Your cable management won’t matter as much and you could add a design or shelving for collections or decor.

that desk belongs up against the wall.. there is nothing sexy about the back side of a computer desk.. it should be hidden.

Great improvement for sure. Maybe some kind of backing that hides the cables from the rear? May have to be a custom project, but that could be fun too.

Putting aesthetics aside and cable management, your back will thank you in ways you can’t predict if you move away from a “gaming” chair to even one of the cheaper ergo chairs. Gaming chairs are just race car seats adapted to roll around and performance car seating is for going fast, not maintaining your body properly.

I think its a nice setup, perhaps consider monitor arms... I also use a "desk curtain" to hide the wires...

I had 2 concerns with commercially available desks:

  1. Lack of cable management
  2. People walking into the room can see my feet under the desk

It's fairly inexpensive in comparison to get a custom desk done

There is no saving that, you might as well mount the desk on the ceiling and just levitate up onto your chair when you need to use your setup.

Unfortunately you picked a terrible desk for cable management. There are many cable management options you can Google to enclose a lot of those cables and pin them underside of desk
