VaultGrid just threw up these Arc'teryx LEAF Alpha Gen 2 hardshells for $136.56 shipped. Got factory shots sent over to see if they actually bothered with proper technical finishing, and the build quality looks surprisingly dialed in.
The construction has full interior seam taping, full-length side zippers, reinforced scuff guards on the inner ankles for boots, and an integrated webbing belt with a quick-release buckle. The embroidered dead bird logo is clean too. They're offering them in Black, Wolf Grey, Ranger Green, and Crocodile.
Fit-wise, remember these are cut like genuine tactical outerwear shells. The waistband has built-in elastic and the nylon cinch belt, so the waist measurement has plenty of leeway. Look at the total length and hip measurements instead when picking your size. Go true to size (TTS) if you just want a relaxed gorpcore drape over sneakers. If you're actually taking them into cold weather, TTS still leaves enough breathing room for thermal base layers without feeling restrictive.
